Cucumber

Cucumbers are flowering vegetables that can be consumed raw or as pickles.

These “cool” veggies may have been cultivated as long ago as 9750 B.C and belong to the same vegetable family as pumpkin, zucchini, watermelon, and other squashes.

As a cucumber matures, the seeds become bitter and should be removed before using. Because most cucumbers are waxed, peel before eating.
