Curry powder is widely used in Indian cooking and is actually a pulverized blend of up to 20 spices, herbs and seeds - all of which have potent antioxidant power.  

The commonly used ingredients in curry powder include turmeric, cardamom, chiles, cinnamon, cloves, coriander, cumin, fennel seed, fenugreek, mace, nutmeg, red and black pepper, poppy and sesame seeds, saffron, and tamarind.

Curry powder comes in two varieties-standard and "Madras" - which is the spicier of the varieties.
