Pineapple

Pineapples are a tropical fruit and a native to South America.

Brought to Hawaii in the 1700s, the pineapple has long been recognized as a symbol of hospitality.

Three varieties are commonly available and include Smooth Cayenne, Red Spanish and Sugar Loaf.

Pineapple is an excellent source of vitamin C and also contain the enzyme bromelain.
