Squash, Zucchini

Zucchini is a tender summer squash with a slightly sweet flavor that is a delicious addition to many types of cuisine.

This low calorie, fibrous vegetable is packed with nutrients and vitamins essential for daily functioning. The potassium content helps to reduce blood pressure by counteracting the effect that sodium has on the body. It is vitamin C that helps to fight free radicals in the body and support the immune system.

Try yellow squash in sautés and soups as well as spiraled to make a delicious, low carb “noodle" or "zoodle".
