Tahini, Sesame Seed Butter

Tahini is a popular Middle Eastern paste made from ground sesame seeds and oil and is a crucial ingredient to the popular hummus dip.

 

Sesame seeds are packed with vitamins and nutrients, and are a good source of protein. Tahini, therefore, carries a lot of these benefits such high levels of trace minerals necessary for body regulation like thiamin, phosphorus magnesium, and calcium. These minerals can decrease blood pressure, improve bone strength, and lower the risk of heart disease, stroke and cancer.
