Maca

Maca (maca root) is a healing super-food from the Andean Mountains of Peru and Bolivia. While it can be used as a culinary resource, it is often taken in the powder form as a supplement.

Maca is known to balance hormones and enhance fertility in both men and women. On top of helping prevent hormone-related acne, maca works with the female reproductive system to alleviate symptoms of menopause and menstrual problems.

Maca has also been known to help cope with depression and stress as well as increase energy and stamina. The root is a great source of vitamins and minerals that restore red blood cells and improve the body’s reaction to injury.
