Sweeteners, Stevia

Stevia is a naturally sweet plant native to Paraguay.

The pure glycosides are extracted from the Stevia leaves and turned into an intensely sweet powder which is sold as a supplement in the United States. In its whole form, stevia is 30 times sweeter than sugar. When purified, it can be 250-300 times sweeeter than sugar.

Stevia is all-natural, contains zero calories, and has a zero glycemic index.
