Apricot kernel oil is derived from the seeds of the apricot fruit. Its sweet, nutty flavor and aroma, plus its healing properties, make it a great addition to dishes.

It is rich in monounsaturated fats which help to optimize cholesterol levels while improving cardiovascular health. Apricot kernel oil is also believed to reduce inflammation in the body and can be used topically as an anti-aging, anti-bacterial moisturizer.

There’s growing research that suggests apricot seed oil is high in a cancer-fighting vitamin B17 (laetrile), but evidence is too limited to confirm it is an effective alternative.
