Oil, Walnut

Walnut oil is the result of dried, cold-pressed walnuts, and maintains many of the healthy properties found in walnuts. It is high in monounsaturated fats that improve blood circulation and lower LDL (bad) cholesterol.

Walnut oil contains alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), an omega-3 fatty acid that helps to reduce the risk of heart disease, quells inflammation and improves the integrity of blood vessels.

This delicious oil is also high in antioxidants and nutrients that fight free radicals in the body and help maintain hormone levels. It is an excellent source for improving skin quality and as a natural aid for those with eczema.

Because walnut oil has a flash point of 320 F, it should be reserved for lower heat preparations.
