Oil, Sunflower Seed

Sunflower oil is derived from pressing the seeds of sunflowers. In cold-pressed form, it is one of the highest sources of vitamin E - an antioxidant that improves heart and skin health and boosts immunity by restoring cells in the body. However, in industrial processing, much of this vitamin E is degraded and oxidized.

Sunflower oil is high in omega-6 fats which can promote inflammation and oxidation when they are consumed in excess. For this reason, sunflower oil should be used sparingly or avoided.
